Bitter or Pin cherry (Prunus emarginata)
Shrub or small tree; reddish or gray bark. Deciduous. Many seedlings.
Leaves:   Long, elliptical, rounded tip
Flowers: White flowers , 5 petals, in cluster
Fruit:     Small bitter, bright red cherry - eaten by birds.
Habitat:   Open areas, wooded area edges.
Range:    May be found in Washington, Oregon, Idaho (See on Moscow Mountain).
Family:   Rosaceae
